  1. The Adopt-a-Tree program by Tropicual Mangrove SL (registered brand name Tropicual) is a subscription-model loyalty program.

  2. By adopting a tree, a Customer will receive 6 liters of Tropicual Extra Virgin Olive Oil. This is typically supplied in 2x 2.5L Everyday + 1x 500ml De Sierra + 1x 500ml De Vega. Depending on harvest and productions conditions, Tropicual reserves the right to amend the formats in which the olive oil is supplied in any given year. While amendments may take place due to these conditions, the quantity of 6 liters and the grade (Extra Virgin) is guaranteed.

  3. The cost of the program is USD 120 for a Customer residing in the USA, EUR 99 in the EU, and GBP 99 in the UK. Other territories are covered and quoted on a case-by-case basis.

  4. By default, the shipping to any territory is not included. However, certain territories will benefit from free shipping, as part of our global shipping routes, when it has been explicitly offered.

  5. Tropicual reserves the right to change its shipping policy in response to significant increases in the cost of shipping to the Customer. Any changes will be communicated to the Customer before the renewal date. Tropicual will honor the terms in effect at the time of the renewal.

  6. Import fee and custom duties for non-EU territories are not included by default. However, Tropicual may at its discretion cover these costs on a case-by-case basis.

  7. The Customer will begin receiving their adopt-a-tree olive oil once the new harvest is completed and olive oil is produced (typically October and November). Due to variability all along the process, and while every endeavour will be made for the box to be shipped rapidly, Tropicual can only guarantee to the Customer that it will be shipped at the latest by end of April of the calendar year following the production date.

  8. The Customer will receive by mail, as soon as possible after activation, shipped separately from the box with the oil, a framed certificate - welcoming to the program and detailing the location of their tree.

  9. The Customer will be able to choose a name that will be printed on a chosen support item such as bird house or an insect hotel, which will then be affixed to the designated tree. Tropicual will designate the tree and has ultimate choice over the support item. The name supplied by the Customer can be a person’s given name, a nickname, a family surname, or a company/organisation name, so long as it is not offensive. Tropicual reserves the right to reject any name it deems inappropriate for any reason. For example, names that are too long for the support item on which they will be printed. In these case, Tropicual will contact the Customer to agree on a name to use. Tropicual wishes to point out that the support item and printed name will fade over time, and as such, makes no guarantee that the name will be visible or legible over time. Tropicual will endeavour, without making guarantees, to replace the support item over the lifetime of the subscription so that it remains visible and legible.

  10. Tree adoption is not a legal transfer of ownership of the designated tree, nor the land on which it sits. The term “adoption” is used for its emotive connotations and shall not be interpreted otherwise.

  11. The Customer is invited to visit their tree any time but always in coordination with Tropicual, who will make every effort to facilitate the visit, and provide a free tour of the olive orchard and a free olive oil tasting session.

  12. The Customer can receive updates of farming activities associated with their tree.

  13. The Customer is responsible for keeping Tropicual informed of any shipping address changes so that the Customer receive their box in a timely fashion. A box cannot be split and will only be shipped to a single address.

  14. The Customer will initially be charged when the subscription is activated. Renewals take place on September 7th of each calendar year. Depending on the moment during the year that the Customer activates the subscription, the Customer is enrolled in the program for the current year’s harvest or the next. The cut-off date is July 1st, so any activations past that date will begin receiving oil from the next harvest. A Customer will of course have the option to receive a box right away (depending on available stock) and renew in the following September again. By default however, activations post-July 1st won’t receive a box until the next harvest is produced.

  15. Adopt-a-Tree renewals are automatic. The Customer will receive two email notifications as the renewal date (Sep 7th of each year) approaches. One notification on or about 30 days before, and the second, on or about 7 days before. A subscription is considered renewed when it has been successfully paid.

  16. The Customer may cancel their subscription any time so long as the box hasn’t yet departed the Tropicual facilities in Spain. Tropicual may, at its discretion, offer refunds for cancelled subscription past the date of shipment when an alternate subscriber can be identified in a timely fashion, always keeping in mind that Tropicual olive oil is a fresh product made with great care. Since it is a grocery item, once the box has been delivered to the Customer, it cannot be returned.

  17. Tropicual reserves the right to end the tree adoption program at any time and without notice for any reason. If a Customer has already activated or renewed the subscription, and the corresponding box with oil hasn’t been shipped and/or received yet, the Customer will receive a full refund.

  18. Tropicual tree adoptions are limited in number. Tropicual may have to turn away new subscribers when no more Tropicual trees are available to the program.

  19. Private information about the Customer collected during the course of the tree adoption program will not be sold or shared with any third party. It will only be used for the purposes of communication about the Adopt-a-Tree program, while the Customer has an active subscription.

  20. We will communicate, by email, any material changes to these terms and conditions, or other necessary communications, to all active subscribers at their email address provided during the activation. Customers are asked to keep Tropicual informed of any email address changes.

  21. These terms were last updated on August 18th 2025.
